The recent article in the LA Times about our club has created an explosion of interest. We have worked hard to 'get the word out.' We created huge interest in our mission through the Huell Howser special on PBS TV. In the last year we have had many articles published in southern California newspapers.

The result? We now have so many members, we have outgrown our meeting place at the Corner Bakery in Irvine. When we started the club with less than a dozen members, we held our monthly meeting at It's A Grind Coffee Shop
in Laguna Hills. We quickly outgrew it to the chagrin of the owners who are big supporters.

We decided to move the meeting to a more central location in Orange County and decided on the Corner Bakery
in Irvine. For each meeting, we pushed together 6-8 table on the large patio. This worked great for about a year. Now we have so many members attending the monthly meetings, we need to think bigger.

We have decided to hold the next series of meetings at Brywood Park in Irvine, a short drive from Corner Bakery. It is a beautiful outdoor facility with a large canopy covering many picnic tables. We will provide coffee and pastries, but there is no cafe available if you are want something more substantial.

Our next meeting is August 2, 2008 at 8:30 AM. There is a map to the park on our home web page.

We are searching for a more permanent indoor meeting facility. In the meantime, Brywood Park will work just fine.

See you on the 2nd of August. Bring your friends.
