We held our February 2008 meeting yesterday at the Lakewood Country Club in LA County. We had quite a turnout. Dave Snyder, the Superintendent of the club, kicked off the meeting with a welcome and a brief bio on his bluebirding history. Dave has managed many golf courses in southern CA and has put up nestbox trails on every one.

Several new members were welcomed. They included Jo-Ann Coller of Santa Ana, Larry & Kathy Briggs of Norwalk, Mary Brockmeyer of Arcadia, and Dave & Nancy Hill from Summerland. The Hills drove all the way down from the Santa Barbara area!

There is a great deal of excitement in the Los Angeles County are for our project. We are working hard to sign up new members in LA County and are going to hold our March meeting at the same place to make it convenient for LA County folks to join us.

Look out Los Angeles County - here we come!
