For several years, club member Bob Franz has been trying to convince Huell Howser of KCET fame to film a PBS special on the WEBL recovery program in CA. Drum roll please.... Well, it happened! On April 19th, 2007, Huell and his crew filmed a bluebird segment in Placentia. The cast includes our very own Bob Franz, Dick Purvis, and Susan Bulger.

The show will air June 19th, and July 24th, 2007 at 7:30 PM (PDT) on KCET. The show is called 'California Green.' Bob Franz was kind enough to take the time and write a description of the days events titled 'Bluebirds to appear on KCET.'

How cool is this? I cannot wait to see the show. This kind of publicity is terrific for our cause. Huell will provide a DVD of the show so do not despair if you miss it. We will provide copies to club members.
