I am on the Cornell University bluebird email list and receive a lot of emails from the list each week.  Every once in a while, I receive an email that knocks me out. That happened this morning when Wendell Long of Waynesville, OH made a post to the list with a link to his online photo album.

Holy smokes these photos are incredible! My favorites?
The bluebird and female cardinal in the snow. (Blucard)
The bluebird on the goose (HeadingSouth-1)

Nothing compares with the set of photos of the pileated woodpeckers tending to their young (PilFam2). This majestic bird takes your breath away when one lands in a nearby tree.

Post a comment telling us about your favorite photos.

Thank you Wendell Long for making my day!
