I have published three documents to assist those of you that want to build your own nestboxes. The first document, Purvis Nestbox Plan, is a single-page plan sheet. There is a matching document, Purvis Nestbox Plan Guide, that provides more detail about the plan sheet. The third document, Purvis Nestbox Assembly Guide, is a step-by-step guide that contains full color photos. You are right there in my shop as I assemble one of my nestboxes.  You can download the documents below or find them on our web-site on the How-To's page.

I am a purist at heart and some of my friends think my box is too elaborate. Maybe so. If you are going to build your own nestbox(es), please be sure you build it out of 3/4" wood and follow the minimum build specifications outlined below.

1) 10" high sides
2) 5" x 5" floor
3) 1-1/2 inch hole
4) Bottom of hole 6" from the floor
5) Secure the hanging wire so it never comes loose

Hope you have as much fun building your boxes as I do.

MGS
